You shouldn't miss it.Allauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12235215564170618780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14812333.post-83625892294176974932013-12-07T17:03:00.588-06:002013-12-07T17:03:00.588-06:00I haven't even *seen* This Must Be the Place, ...I haven't even *seen* This Must Be the Place, or any other Sorrentino besides this one. The fact that I'll be missing out on The Great Beauty in time for year-end awardage is particularly frustrating.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09491952893581644049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14812333.post-27067809872465893062013-12-06T17:30:15.258-06:002013-12-06T17:30:15.258-06:00I thought you had reviewed "This must be the ...I thought you had reviewed "This must be the place". Bush and not Smeagol). I have to agree that the presentation of the facts as read makes it damn near impossible for Americans and also that this isn't a fair charge to level against it. Still, I had a lot of fun with the movie and I ADORED Servillo's performance. Beat out even Sam Rockwell in MOON as my fave of the year so far.Jakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09078001374402400232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14812333.post-90355876302708612312009-07-22T13:22:37.666-05:002009-07-22T13:22:37.666-05:00Seconded entirely. Adding only that Servillo's one unleashed moment (the imagined tirade about sharing his dark secrets with his wife) puts the precision and quietness of the rest of his performance into explosive context, and is riveting beyond belief. Hot dog. Someday I'll know what the narrative was on about, and then can revisit For The Fireworks.Pat Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10361474867794450313noreply@blogger.com
