I had ...I agree with everything you have said here. I had most of the exact same complaints as I was watching the movie. The major flaw, I think, is that the film just lacked a focus on what it wanted to do.Jaredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14863050785214518620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14812333.post-18969828577526891182011-11-26T12:11:45.540-06:002011-11-26T12:11:45.540-06:00You didn't see the movie I did. Michelle Willi...You didn't see the movie I did. Michelle Williams doesn't look like she's working too hard. She's effortless. She's amazing. She out-Marilyns Marilyn herself, but without the overt gestures. It's as if we finally see the real Marilyn behind Norma Jeane's caricature of Marilyn. We see there was more to her than your superficial and staged "I always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop." You're mistaken if you think this was, in essence, Colin's story. Colin was a porthole into the phenomenon of Marilyn like Nick Carraway was a porthole into Gatsby. Maybe because you were looking for simple answers and simple characters you missed it.Don Jindrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05550378223563435764noreply@blogger.com
