"TIME FLIES LIKE AN ARROW...
...fruit flies like a banana." -Groucho Marx.
Somehow, I've managed to muddle my way through one whole year of blogging. That's right, Antagony & Ecstasy celebrates its first birthday today! That translates into 437 posts (or 438 now, I guess) and 18,145 visits, one-third of which came from people looking for advice on acquiring and using ecstasy, and another third of which came from people named Pat King.
Thank you, all of my regular readers, and thank you to any drug-users stumbling upon this page by accident.
For "fun," I thought I would dig into the archives and pick some of my favorite, or just overlooked posts of the last 12 months. Fun fact: as my average length has increased, my ability to type without spelling or grammatic mistakes has essentially vanished.
-19 August, 2005: Over- and under-rated films.
-1 September, 2005: Why I don't much like Harry Potter.
-22 December, 2005: An atheist's Christmas.
-12 January, 2006: The religous debate. Yeah, that one.
-23 January, 2006: Year-end movie geekery.
-7 February, 2006: Movies, politics and gay cowboys.
-27 March, 2006: An affirmation.
-4 July, 2006: On patriotism.
The Liberality for All reviews:
-Issue 1, part 1 (14 November, 2005)
-Issue 1, mailbag (17 November, 2005)
-Issue 1, part 2 (3 December, 2005)
-Issue 2, part 1 (21 May, 2006)
-Issue 2, part 2 (29 May, 2006)
-Issue 2, The Art of Liberality (4 June, 2006)
-Issue 2, part 3 (4 June, 2006)
-Issue 3, part 1 (30 July, 2006)
Pick your own favorites, chew me out for things I said 9 months ago, or beg me to get on with Liberality already in comments.

Just a few rules so that everybody can have fun: ad hominem attacks on the blogger are fair; ad hominem attacks on other commenters will be deleted. And I will absolutely not stand for anything that is, in my judgment, demeaning, insulting or hateful to any gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. And though I won't insist on keeping politics out, let's think long and hard before we say anything particularly inflammatory.
Also, sorry about the whole "must be a registered user" thing, but I do deeply hate to get spam, and I refuse to take on the totalitarian mantle of moderating comments, and I am much too lazy to try to migrate over to a better comments system than the one that comes pre-loaded with Blogger.
I am stunned by the quality of your posts, and the total incoherence of my responding comments. Good god.
ReplyDeleteNow come on. We're all waiting for Editing II and Liberality RULZ!!!!
If you do Editing II on Saturday and Liberality on Sunday...That sounds like a good one-two punch for a weekend. You don't have anything better to do, right?
