GONE FISHIN'
My annual post-CIFF blogging vacation apparently took effect yesterday, & not today like I had planned. Back next Sunday with two, that's right, two classic reviews: one of the sexiest and artsiest horror films ever, and a charming French comedy about the terrors of boarding school.

Just a few rules so that everybody can have fun: ad hominem attacks on the blogger are fair; ad hominem attacks on other commenters will be deleted. And I will absolutely not stand for anything that is, in my judgment, demeaning, insulting or hateful to any gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. And though I won't insist on keeping politics out, let's think long and hard before we say anything particularly inflammatory.
Also, sorry about the whole "must be a registered user" thing, but I do deeply hate to get spam, and I refuse to take on the totalitarian mantle of moderating comments, and I am much too lazy to try to migrate over to a better comments system than the one that comes pre-loaded with Blogger.
Finally!! No more cheeseball hammer films or shitty slasher sequels! Is it Don't Look Now? When you say the words "sexy" and "artsiest horror film," my first thought is automatically Julie Christie. And if it ain't Don't Look Now, it better be "Demon Seed!"
ReplyDeletedon't look now IS pretty sexy and artsy...
ReplyDeleteartsy = stylish, too?
ReplyDeletethen "The Hunger"
What, no return to politics this week? Really? Of all the times to vanish.
ReplyDeleteWell, if it wasn't obvious, the Don't Look Now review is just a couple scrolls above this.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought about coming out for a "Thank God, it's Barack!" post, but you know, I've got a few years to get in all the praise I want, so...
