STRAW POLLS

Sorry that there was no new review today. I had one all planned and everything, but this Blogger contretemps took up most of my mental energy, and it honestly slipped my mind.

On that subject, I have a couple of polls, and it would mean the world to me if you, oh loyal readers, could weigh in on some questions that dictate what happens to this blog after Monday.

Thanks again for your patience in this massively irritating time. I'll actually get back to being a film blogger tomorrow, I promise.

  1. Previews would be nice, and would work well for us RSS subscribers. Including the title of the film in that preview would be good—maybe a stylistic quibble, but it's often difficult from my reader to tell what you're reviewing (the posters don't carry through to syndication).

I'd be all for you leaving Blogger. I hate Blogger. I'm not terribly fond of Wordpress either, as though the service is harmless enough it's too often and too easily abused. But, certainly a good move, and I trust that you wouldn't screw it up.

Incidentally, if you're looking for a different look, I do these things.

  2. It would be nice if the website looked more professional, I suppose. Your reviews are certainly worth the change.

  3. Whatever you do, keep the black on cream!

Just a few rules so that everybody can have fun: ad hominem attacks on the blogger are fair; ad hominem attacks on other commenters will be deleted. And I will absolutely not stand for anything that is, in my judgment, demeaning, insulting or hateful to any gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. And though I won't insist on keeping politics out, let's think long and hard before we say anything particularly inflammatory.

Also, sorry about the whole "must be a registered user" thing, but I do deeply hate to get spam, and I refuse to take on the totalitarian mantle of moderating comments, and I am much too lazy to try to migrate over to a better comments system than the one that comes pre-loaded with Blogger.
