This has been around for about a week now, but I only just found it, and since it's pretty much the funniest thing ever, I thought it was worth sharing.
It originally comes from Cracked, but I couldn't make that video embed properly. Still, you should head over to a) see it full-sized and b) give them the page hits; they surely deserve it.

Just a few rules so that everybody can have fun: ad hominem attacks on the blogger are fair; ad hominem attacks on other commenters will be deleted. And I will absolutely not stand for anything that is, in my judgment, demeaning, insulting or hateful to any gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. And though I won't insist on keeping politics out, let's think long and hard before we say anything particularly inflammatory.
Also, sorry about the whole "must be a registered user" thing, but I do deeply hate to get spam, and I refuse to take on the totalitarian mantle of moderating comments, and I am much too lazy to try to migrate over to a better comments system than the one that comes pre-loaded with Blogger.
Speaking of oscar lateness, i just watched Logorama and would love to hear your thoughts on it (you are the most informed person about animation i have come across). I thought it was so hilarious and great satire.

ReplyDeleteAnd Cracked is pretty great, but a lot of their videos are really overwrought. I don't know who made this video, but it's a pretty sharp satire.

1. I'm a huge fan, regular reader, you're the best film critic i've ever encountered, et cetera et cetera. I don't comment much but i've left a few, and I recommend your site to anybody as the definitive spot for film critique.

I think they're the best internet comedy troupe out there, even better than DerrickComedy, and I hope they follow in DC's footsteps and hit the "big time". If the popularity of this clip is any indicator I think the big time is a very real possibility.
3. Speaking of DerrickComedy, do you have any intentions of seeing and reviewing Mystery Team, their full length feature? It's always so risky for a sketch troupe to attempt a full length (see every SNL bomb) but not only has this one received positive reviews but bona fide rave reviews... I just wanted to see what authority on all things filmy had to say... ;)
