It's April, and that means one thing around these parts: rising from the grave and ritualistically eating human flesh. Yessir, it's zombie time!
Having exhausted all* of the important European zombie franchises in years past, it's time to return to the shores of the U.S. of A. and the evergreen series that gave rise to one of the most iconic bits of zombie lore of them all. If you know, just absolutely know in your heart, that zombies crave human brains, then you must stop to thank the 1985 horror-comedy The Return of the Living Dead and its sequels; and as chance would have it, that's just what we're going to do every Saturday this month, starting later today.

Just a few rules so that everybody can have fun: ad hominem attacks on the blogger are fair; ad hominem attacks on other commenters will be deleted. And I will absolutely not stand for anything that is, in my judgment, demeaning, insulting or hateful to any gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion. And though I won't insist on keeping politics out, let's think long and hard before we say anything particularly inflammatory.
